Did the Pandemic Change You?

It is safe to say 2020 changed our lives forever and will go down in history books. For some, there were good changes, and for others challenging changes. Many of us became caretakers to love ones, battled health threats, became a remote worker for your job or a virtual teacher for your kids.

Most of these circumstances have become permanent or are slowly getting back to normal for you. Being back to work at full capacity everyone is looking to get to know each other all over. In virtual and physical spaces leaders and their teams struggle to maintain relationships and team dynamics strained by the pandemic.

People simply want to collect insight about themselves or gain perspective about what others think of their leadership style.

This summer the Leadership Institute has noticed an increase in requests for assessment tools. At the Leadership Institute assessments are tools and critical to developing and retaining your most valuable asset: your employees.

We offer teams and organizations tools to assess individual people or the synergy of a team. All assessment results are delivered in one-on-one coaching sessions or full or half-day training sessions for groups and teams.

For clients that have taken assessments in the past, we advise you to re-take it. Your results from three years ago may not be accurate as you may have experienced life-changing events. Which today, we can say we all experienced in some form in 2020 alone.

The top 3 assessments tools we have seen several requests for are below:

1.       DISC

DiSC is a model of human behavior that helps people understand "why they do what they do." The most important benefit of the DiSC model is an in-depth understanding of your behavioral style and preferences and learning to recognize the behavioral style of others.

2.       RightPath 360

The purpose of a 360° assessment is to evaluate, enhance and build the skills and competencies needed to be an effective leader. Feedback on the strengths and struggles of each team member is requested from colleagues (raters), including supervisors, direct reports, peers, and others who may have valuable insight to share.

3.       Emotional Intelligence (EQi/EQ360)

EQ, broadly speaking, is concerned with understanding oneself and others, relating to people, and adapting to and coping with one's immediate surroundings. The BarOn EQ-i® is the most widely administered tool in the field of emotional intelligence (EQ). Being smart (traditional IQ) isn't enough. One must learn how to appropriately manage the social and emotional demands life places on you and your employees.
